About Dr. Michelle

My experience.

I have a PhD in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary. I am a Registered Psychologist in Alberta (#5456) and British Columbia (#2634). I completed my residency in Los Angeles, California where I supervised doctoral students in addition to providing psychotherapy.

My expertise is with people managing: depression, anxiety, eating disorders, weight-issues, and chronic health conditions. I also specialize in couple therapy and the cross-over between individual health conditions in relationships.

Why choose me?

Who you trust to be vulnerable with is incredibly important. But, you need more than a safe person to talk to. My goal is to provide a safe place for you to share your biggest challenges and assist you in improving your well-being. I take a client centred approach in therapy, meaning you and I work as a team, with you as the team captain.

I became a therapist because wanted to make a difference in peoples lives. I chose to focus on the connection between physical and mental health issues because I know personally the struggle of chronic pain, fatigue, and digestive distress. I also know there is a way to manage these issues, with social support and guidance being crucial. I want to be that source of support for you.

About Kaitlin

My experience.

I have an MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in British Columbia (#25082) and a Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT-200). I completed my practicum in Lake Cowichan, BC where I worked primarily with clients dealing with trauma from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach.

My expertise includes supporting adults and teens with anxiety, relationship and attachment issues, eating disorders, depression, ADHD, and emotional regulation.

Why choose me?

My goal as a counsellor is to help clients see themselves more clearly and recognize that the insights they seek are already within them. I approach counselling from a holistic perspective, grounded in the radical acceptance of the whole person and the complex stories and experiences they carry. By creating a safe and welcoming space for individuals simply to “be,” I aim to foster genuine connection and support meaningful personal growth.

I believe that meaningful change involves more than addressing surface-level symptoms; it requires understanding and working through the deeper roots of emotional and psychological distress. My work is tailored to each individual, drawing on evidence-based modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, among others.
