What I Offer

Individual/Couple Therapy

I can help you improve your quality of life, reduce your suffering, and address personalized needs and goals in a one-on-one format. Or, I would love to meet with you and your partner to discuss your relationship or how mental health challenges are impacting your bond.

Online Services

Let’s make it easier for you to fit me into your schedule. All therapy services are offered online, letting you get the help you need wherever you have an internet connection.

My approach is different.

Your brain and your body go everywhere together, why would we treat them separately?

At The Well, I don't.

Mental health diagnosis and treatment is beginning to change. Research now suggests anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges are heavily influenced by our gut health. Unfortunately, traditional psychotherapy often fails to address this.

Joining The Well means participating in a whole body approach to mental health. In your first session we will discuss the reason you came to therapy, your history, and the mental and physical symptoms you are experiencing. Then, in addition to a traditional psychotherapy and/or assessment, you may be referred to your family doctor or other practitioner for testing. We will work with your care team to develop a plan to get you relief as soon as possible.

Alternatively, if you have a known physical health issue, I will work with your care team to develop a plan to help you manage your symptoms and improve your daily experience.

Areas of practice.

Parenting

Navigating parenting concerns in a world where we are inundated with information and advice can be challenging. I will support you in identifying your personal areas of concern, your unique parenting values/needs, and provide techniques to support you in finding balance with your children, relationship (if relevant), and yourself.

Anxiety

Whether you're experiencing generalized anxiety, panic attacks, or something more specific, my goal is to provide you with a safe space to share your feelings and help you develop skills to get back to your life. Together, we will develop personalized coping strategies and process the underlying cause of your anxiety, including ruling out physical explanations.

Chronic Pain

If you are managing a physical health concern, including chronic pain, I’m here for you. Pain, fatigue, and disability have a huge impact on day-to-day life. I will support you in coping with your condition and in navigating it your work and relationships.

Eating, Body, and Weight Concerns

If you are managing difficulties with body satisfaction, disordered eating, or chronic dieting you are in good hands. My masters and doctoral research centred around weight related issues. I know how frustrating, exhausting, and shameful they can feel. If you are looking for a safe space to share these vulnerabilities and get support in meeting your physical and emotional needs, I would love to help.

Relationships

All people in relationships experience conflict, but how conflict is managed informs the health and satisfaction of a relationship. I will provide you and your partner with relationship education, communication skills, and a safe space to be heard and respected.

Burnout

Difficulty with energy, attention/concentration, and memory are increasingly common due to our demanding lives. I will work with you to reduce, treat and prevent burnout. We will discuss and implement a medical leave from work if needed, which includes a recovery protocol for your time away.

There’s a reason you’re here.
