Our approach is different.
Your brain and your body go everywhere together, why would we treat them separately?
At The Well, we don't.
Mental health diagnosis and treatment is beginning to change. Research now suggests anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges are heavily influenced by our gut health. Unfortunately, traditional psychotherapy often fails to address this.
Joining The Well means participating in a whole body approach to mental health. In your first session we will discuss the reason you came to therapy, your history, and the mental and physical symptoms you are experiencing. Then, in addition to a traditional psychotherapy and/or assessment, you may be referred to your family doctor or other practitioner for testing. We will work with your care team to develop a plan to get you relief as soon as possible.
Alternatively, if you have a known physical health issue, we will work with your care team to develop a plan to help you manage your symptoms and improve your daily experience.
